Under California OEHHA's amended Article 6 regulations (effective 2025 with full enforcement window through 2027), generic short-form Prop 65 warnings that omit the chemical name are being phased out. Short-form warnings must now identify at least one specific listed chemical for each applicable endpoint (cancer and/or reproductive harm).

OEHHA amended 27 CCR § 25603 so that short-form warnings can no longer just say 'WARNING: Cancer and Reproductive Harm - www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.' They must now name at least one specific chemical for each endpoint and allow the signal words 'CA WARNING' or 'CALIFORNIA WARNING'.
Under the revised rule, the short-form warning type size must be at least 6-point type and no smaller than the largest type size used for other consumer information on the product.
